My 1 month celebration.

My Por Por & Goong Goong threw me a party for turning 1 month! It is a tradition in the Chinese culture celebrate a baby turning 1 month old and for welcoming the mother back into society - traditionally, when the mother gives birth, she is not allowed to go out of the house, do any housework or cook for 1 month. But ordered to just take care of the newborn, sleep and recover from the birth. And after a month, the mother and baby are welcomed into society with a celebration of red hard boiled eggs, yellow rice and curry, and special glutenous rice cakes filled with a sweet mung bean paste.
To tell you the truth, Mummy was out of the hosue within days of my birth, she resumed cooking, and doing the housework straight away, and bearly got much sleep! So maybe this 1 month celebration should be about 'surviving' 1 month after giving birth to me - the 3rd child!
Great Aunty Rosie, having a cuddle - she is here in Melbourne for a couple of months. She flew all the way from England!
